services as required to support, engineering and construction

Control
The project cost control system is typically established during
the concept development phase of the project and continuously
monitored and updated to recognize all cost, commitments and
forecasts for the project.

Planning
and Scheduling
Major milestones are identified during the concept development
phase and guidelines produced for the project schedule. Information
is analyzed to establish logical sequences of activities and
their relative durations in development of a critical path
method (CPM) project schedule.

Procurement
Consulting West uses a team approach for the procurement of
equipment and services. The team gathers product and market
information and procures goods and services at the lowest
total cost. They also mitigate the risk associated with purchasing
by reviewing contract terms, conditions and project schedules.
The team participates fully in the development of project
execution strategy. This process ensures the purchase of the
project’s needs, on schedule and at the lowest installed
cost.

Commissioning and Training
Consulting West has the expertise and experience to provide
these vital services. Preparation and execution of acceptance
testing protocols, for each mechanical system, electrical
system and process piping with associated equipment; have
been key factors in the success of our projects.

Construction Safety
Consulting West’s Manager of Health and Safety, helps
you to establish project site safety program including review
of all contractors’ safety programs and safety history.

Construction
Administration
These services are available for both new construction and
renovation projects. For small projects, construction administration
can be performed on a part-time basis. Larger projects utilize
a dedicated core staff, which is augmented by inspectors,
engineers and in-house support personnel. A variety of state-of-the-art
project management software is used to develop and update
detailed construction schedules.
